It is so interestingly similar in terms of the intensity and destruction & creativity impacted on me and that between the breakup of Jung & Freud, and my own breakup with my academic father, and in a way only have I realized that I need to grow up and stand up as an independent woman...

You cover topics I have not thought about since being in university some years ago. Freud, Jung, J.B. Watson, Maslow among others I remember being discussed in the two classes I took that looked a social behavior, and social diversity. I admire you for writing so freely and deeply about your struggle to find a balance between your Christian Faith, and your professional endeavors. You stated, “But what does man possess that God does not have? Because of his littleness, puniness, and defencelessness against the Almighty, he possesses, as we have already suggested, a somewhat keener consciousness based on self-reflection: he must, in order to survive, always be mindful of his impotence. Your conclusion is wonderful. God has no need for circumspection! We are the weak and feeble. We are so capable of making the wrong decision, we are at times, easily lead astray.

I like the twists and frank reactions of Jung to Job, in his "Answer to Job". The post in my psy blog - Answer to Job, words in blue, are actually direct quotation from an online excerpt of the book.
I was really surprised by this book of Jung's.
:) so not my own words.... :) but I kind of think in this direction too!!!
It is really a long long struggling road for me to integrate Psy and Theology/Christian Spirituality, as I found the two in conflicting value system most of the time....
I only want to belong to my God, my Lord, my Savior.
