What does love mean?

The following are direct quotations from www.minti.com of 4 to 8 years' old answers, very deep and profound answers....

What-does-love-mean

her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the
time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." [Rebecca-

You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." [Billy - age 4]

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving
cologne and they go out and smell each other." [Karl - age 5]

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your
French fries without making them give you any of theirs." [Chrissy -
age 6]

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." [Terri - age 4]

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip
before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." [Danny - age
7]

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of
kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy
and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss" [Emily -
age 8]

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop
opening presents and listen." [Bobby - age 7] (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend
who you hate," [Nikka - age 6] (we need a few million more Nikka's
on this planet)

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it
everyday." [Noelle - age 7]

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still
friends even after they know each other so well." [Tommy - age 6]

looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and
smiling.?He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."

"My Mommy loves me more than anybody .?You don't see anyone else
kissing me to sleep at night." [Clare - age 6]

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken." [Elaine-
age 5]

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he
is handsomer than Robert Redford." [Chris - age 7]

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him
alone all day." [Mary Ann - age 4]

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old
clothes and has to go out and buy new ones." [Lauren - age 4]

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little
stars come out of you." (what an image) [Karen - age 7]

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think
it's gross." [Mark - age 6]

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if
you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget." [Jessica - age
8]

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked
about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest
was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old
child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had
recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's
yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother
asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy
said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry!

Jesus Gal,

Beautiful comments from children!

Little ones can often be such a great source for purity of love, and sympathy. My experience with children, limited as that is, has taught me to listen to them carefully. Great truths come from children in simple words.

We should all be so childlike that we are able to feel and know His love.

JG, I trust your Easter weekend was blessed with joy and happiness that comes with the mystery remembered and celebrated this past weekend!

1 John 3:1: How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Jesus Gal,

You must be very busy. I was reading the Psalms and came across the following verses:

Psalms143:8-9
Let me hear Your loving kindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul.

Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies; I take refuge in You.

A prayer to share with you:

Dear Father, to whom all will bow,

Help me not pass judgment on others or despise them. Let me look
to myself in view of the fact that I will have to give an account
for my own self.

You have said, "As I live every knee shall bow to me, and every
tongue shall give praise to God." Let me praise you now before the
day of your judgment. Let my praise be willing and not forced.

Help me never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of
a brother or sister in Christ, and especially of some young person.
Don't let me injure anyone by exercising my rights. Let me rather
walk in love toward. Don't let my right to do something cause the
ruin of one for whom Christ died. Do not let what is good to me be
evil spoken of.

In the name of Jesus I ask for the love and wisdom to so live.
Amen.

May the peace of our Lord be with you my friend!

David

Christian spirituality does not begin with us talking about our
experience; it beings with listening to God call us, heal us,
forgive us.

Dear David,
Very very treasureable words...indeed.

Thank you for your support in prayers, continuously...for all these months...while I am going through the many important changes ...

I have just formally withdrawal from the psy program that I had always wanted to do in the past 15years... because I have run into something else more specific to my spirituality call, but I haven't yet arrived at the decision whether this is indeed THE psy bridge between Christian spirituality and psychotherapy..

I'd know in July.

Thank you so much for trusting me with all the sweet family photos.

Pray that God is always the head of your family, and the Savior!!!
